Ardbeg Uigeadail is a richly smoky, full-bodied whisky with an ABV of 54.2%. It is a marriage of sweetness, spice, and deep smokiness, created from the peat-laden waters of Loch Uigeadail and matured in both ex-bourbon and ex-sherry Oloroso casks. This unique vatting process results in a balance of deep smoky notes with the luscious, raisin-like character of sherry.
The aroma is rich and weighty, with a mix of warm Christmas cake, walnut oil, ocean spice, cedar, and pine needles, complemented by treacle toffees and chocolate-coated raisins. The flavor is a harmonious blend of sweet, spicy, and smoky elements, with a mouth-coating texture and hints of honey-glazed smoked foods and treacle. The finish is long, chewy, and full of raisiny mocha tones and rich aromatic smoke.
